Some of you shouldn’t buy this.
(Seriously. Keep reading.)
The Optimize Lab opens to everyone tomorrow. Twelve seats, six weeks, live. Before you click anything, I want to save a few of you some money and save myself some heartburn.
Twelve seats isn’t a lot. Every one of them matters. The wrong person in the room doesn’t just waste their own six weeks…they take a seat from someone who’d have used it.
Who should NOT join the Optimize Lab?
The Optimize Lab isn’t for people who want a template, want someone else to do the work, want it done by Friday, or want an easy exit. It’s six weeks of live, hands-on work on your own LinkedIn profile. If anything below sounds like you, save your money.
No hard feelings. Promise.
Not for you if you want a LinkedIn profile template
If you want a fill-in-the-blank headline and an About section you can copy, paste and forget, the internet has thousands. Free. Go nuts.
(They all sound the same. That’s the problem with them.)
The Lab is an excavation. We dig into what you’ve actually done, what makes you different, and why a stranger should care. You can’t template that. I’ve watched people try. It’s painful.
Not for you if you want someone else to do it
In the Lab, you do the work. I push, I question, I catch what you skipped. Your hands stay on the keyboard.
That’s on purpose. People who build their own profiles understand them, update them and actually use them. People who get one handed to them tend to let it rot.
If you want it done with you one on one, that’s a different, fully private conversation. It isn’t the Lab.
Not for you if you want it fixed over lunch
You can’t fix a LinkedIn profile over lunch. Anyone promising that is selling you a paint job.
Six weeks. Two hours every Thursday, plus the work in between. That’s what it takes to rebuild a profile that works for AI and the human eye. If that sounds like too much, this isn’t your room.
Not for you if one foot is already out the door
The Lab has no refunds. The full Optimize course and every session recording are yours the day you join. If you can’t make the six weeks, you can join a future cohort instead.
But if you’re already planning your exit? Wait for a cohort you can actually show up for. Someone else wants your seat.
Not for you if you won’t hear it
I’m going to tell you things you don’t want to hear. About your headline. About your third-person About section. shudders
I once told a newly promoted VP that his title wasn’t the problem. His Experience section was. He didn’t listen.
(Pretty sure he’s still looking.)
If your plan is to nod politely and change nothing, the Lab will be very expensive nodding.
Why turn people away from a 12-seat LinkedIn profile course?
Because the right twelve people are what make the Lab work. Live sessions run on the people in them: their questions, their hot seats, their progress. One person coasting drags the whole room. I’d rather have the right twelve than any twelve.
It’s the same thing I tell clients about their profiles. If you’re built to appeal to everyone, you’re not aligning with anyone.
Turns out that applies to sales pages, too.
So who IS the Optimize Lab for?
The Optimize Lab is for people who’ve done impressive things and have a LinkedIn profile that doesn’t show it. They’re ready to do the work and want a room and a push to get it done. Job seekers, consultants, founders, executives…anyone whose next opportunity depends on a stranger landing on their profile and thinking, yes, this one.
And they’re willing to hear the truth about their headline.
(Kindly. Mostly.)
