I’m tracking the metrics several different ways.
The spreadsheet
I built a detailed tracking sheet logging:
- Post type
- Impressions
- Profile views
- Engagement metrics
- Notes on what else I did that day (e.g., commenting before posting)

Tracking anecdotal evidence
I’m also paying attention to:
- Which posts get unusual traction
- Which creators consistently get engagement despite the algorithm
- Patterns in daily posting and content mix
My success metrics
My success metrics aren’t just that things have improved. For the effort I’m putting in, I want them to improve substantially.
I’m aiming for:
- 8–10x increase in impressions (not just 10%)
- Higher engagement rates
- 2x profile views
- More opportunities (which also require a strong, updated profile)
