About Natalie Berthe

She figured out LinkedIn because nobody else had done it right.

Natalie Berthe is a LinkedIn strategist, personal branding expert, and author with over 30 years of business strategy experience. She didn't set out to become a LinkedIn expert. She set out to fix a problem nobody was solving well, and couldn't stop once she started.

It started with hating her own LinkedIn profile.

Natalie has spent her career walking into broken situations and fixing them. Franchises that needed systems. Nonprofits that needed structure. Startups that needed strategy. Businesses that needed someone who could see what everyone else was too close to see.

LinkedIn was just another broken situation. When she finally decided to get serious about her own profile, she went looking for help and found two people worth considering: one who treated LinkedIn like a verbatim resume copy, and one whose About section detailed horrific personal trauma. She wished she was kidding.

"I'm a strategist by trade and a problem solver by nature. So I figured it out myself."

She did. Then she started sharing what she'd learned with clients and colleagues who had remarkable results.

Someone told her to host a masterclass. She did. Someone else told her to write a book. She did that too. People asked for 1:1 help. She provided it. Eventually she realized she was building something, a methodology, a framework, a business, and formalized it as Love Your LinkedIn Profile in 2024.

The business is new. The expertise isn't. The approach she brings to LinkedIn profiles is the same she's brought to every broken system she's ever encountered: start with the goal, understand the real problem, build something that actually works.

The pattern

Every career has a Red Thread. Here's hers.

Across 30 years and more industries than most people touch in a lifetime, one thing has remained constant: Natalie walks into situations that are broken or overlooked, figures out what's actually wrong (not just what's visible on the surface), and builds something that works.

She did it with a franchise she grew into a regional coop that won Coop of the Year. She did it with a nonprofit she built from scratch that became a model for other DC public schools. She did it with a cybersecurity education company built on making the impenetrable understandable. And she does it every day with LinkedIn profiles that were technically complete but strategically empty.

She has the ability to make things that don't make sense... make sense.

That's the thread. Whether it's cybersecurity, LinkedIn strategy, or franchise operations, the skill is always the same: take the complex, find the clarity, make it work.

Franchise owner → regional coop founder → international association founder

Built a regional coop that won Coop of the Year (2007) and founded an international franchisee association serving approximately 10,000 franchises worldwide.

Consultant → startup advisor

Advised startups, entrepreneurs, and small businesses on strategy and scaling. Featured as expert advisor on entrepreneur networks including GetWise and Ureeka.

Volunteer → nonprofit founder

Took on what she thought would be a simple volunteer project and built a nonprofit serving 1,000+ student-athletes at DC's largest public high school. It became a model for other DCPS schools.

LinkedIn skeptic → LinkedIn strategist

Hated her own profile, found nothing worth reading about how to fix it, figured it out herself, and built a methodology that has since helped hundreds of professionals build profiles that actually work.

What she believes

On LinkedIn. On narratives. On not wasting your time.

Natalie has opinions about LinkedIn. Strong ones. Here's what drives every decision she makes, in her methodology, her teaching, and her work with clients.

A LinkedIn profile is not a resume.

It never was. A resume is a historical document. A LinkedIn profile is a strategic engagement tool, a chance to take your audience on a deliberate journey toward you. Every section is an opportunity. Most people leave most of them unused.

Strategy first. Always.

Tips without strategy produce profiles that are technically complete but still not working. Every decision, every word, every section, every piece of media, should be driven by a clear goal. That's what separates a profile that exists from one that works.

The more successful you are, the harder it is to see your own brilliance.

What comes naturally to exceptional people feels ordinary to them. The most important work in any client engagement is helping them see what they've done clearly, often for the first time. The profile is just where that clarity lands.

No bullshit. No jargon. No generic advice.

There's too much LinkedIn advice that sounds impressive and means nothing. Natalie's approach is direct, specific, and tailored, to the person, their goals, and what actually works. She will tell you what's wrong, why it's wrong, and exactly what to do about it.

The background behind the work.

Natalie's approach to LinkedIn strategy is grounded in decades of real business experience, not just LinkedIn expertise.

She's built and run businesses, advised startups, launched nonprofits, and navigated the kind of complex strategic challenges that most LinkedIn "experts" have only read about.

That breadth is what makes her different. She doesn't just know LinkedIn. She knows business. And she brings that lens to every profile she touches.
